This is the family website of Paul and Rachel Taylor. We live in Mountain View, CA and have three children: Eliana, Silas, and Ava.
Paul grew up in Connecticut, moved to Houston in high school and then came out to California to attend Stanford University. He moved down to Lubbock, TX for six months while Rachel finished up college and then they got married in December of 1999. They immediately moved back to Sunnyvale, California and Paul started working at Oracle. After several years, they decided to move down to Dallas for Paul to go to seminary at Dallas Theological Seminary. After four years living in Richardson, Texas (just outside of Dallas), where they attended Trinity Fellowship Church, Paul was offered a job with PBC, the church he attended in college and together with Rachel when they lived in Sunnyvale. Paul now works at Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, CA as the College Pastor.
Rachel grew up in Houston, Texas and lived in the same house until she moved away to college when she went to Texas Tech University. She and Paul had met in their church youth group in Houston at St. Philip Lutheran Church and they started dating long-distance halfway through college. Having squeezed college into three and a half years so they could get married sooner, Rachel skipped her college graduation to attend her wedding (good choice). When they lived in Sunnyvale, Rachel volunteered with Community Pregnancy Centers and then worked as a Personal Trainer at the YMCA. Eliana Marie was born just before moving to Richardson, Silas James was born 15 months later and Ava Grace came along after another 20 months.
